Beginning with a bold melodic statement supported by rich harmonies and stately percussion, the music progresses through various moods ranging from gentle to triumphant. A rhythmic dance section in the middle of the work provides excellent contrast before the bold opening themes return to bring the work to a dramatic conclusion. Fabulous writing for young musicians. Figuratively speaking "summit" refers to the highest attainable level of accomplishment or achievement. Summit Fanfare is a musical salute to all who steadfastly endeavor to strive for the highest in their life callings. The work begins with a bold melodic statement supported by rich harmonies and stately percussion. A more gentle melody soon ensues, which is passed around by various woodwind instruments. The music becomes powerful again before yielding to a rhythmic dance section. The introductory statement is then reintroduced before reaching the summit or conclusion.
