Pieces are inspired by Vietnamese folk music. The eight beginning bars of Nostalgia, in natural harmonics emulate the unichord, a Vietnamese single-stringed instrument. The two movements of Two Dreams were written ten years apart and triggered by the musical sounds the composer heard upon waking from his actual dreams. The whole piece is polytonal but based on Vietnamese folk tonalities.

Kosi se zgleduje po vietnamski ljudski glasbi. Osem začnejo palice nostalgije, v naravnih harmonskih posnemati unichord, vietnamski single-strunami instrument. Dva gibanja dveh Dreams je napisal deset let narazen in muzikala sprožil sliši skladatelj slišal na prebujanje iz njegovih dejanskih sanj. Cel kos je polytonal ampak temelji na vietnamskih ljudskih tonalitetah.
